Linda Ronstadt is one of the most important and most versatile singers in the history of rock music and nevertheless the most successful female rock singer
of 20th Century. Her repertoire includes folk, countryrock & countrymusic, blues, rock, pop, big band, broadway musicals, mexican folk and even classical music.
Released in January 1972, Linda Ronstadts self-titled third album was a pivotal record in her career, featuring a group of session musicians (Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Bernie Leadon & Randy Meisner) who later became the supergroup Eagles.
With the release of her phenomenal album Heart Like A Wheel in late 1974 the exceptional singer marked her
international breakthrough.
From this moment on Linda Ronstadt was identified as the "First Queen Of Rock" and the Top Female Singer (and highest paid) for the decade from 1974 to 1984.
In the 1980s Linda Ronstadt remained artistic and commercial still exorbitantly successful,
she conquered the Broadway as a comedian in the musical the Pirates of Penzance alongside the great hollywood actor Kevin Kline,
she succeeded extremely in her collaboration with the orchestra of composer Nelson Riddle.
Their trilogy of great American Songbook standards, a collection of outstanding songs of American popular music of
the 1930s, '40s, and '50s sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
Alongside superstar Plácido Domingo she convinced as Mimi in the Puccini opera La Bohème.
Intensive excursions in mexican folk accumulated the fame of the 10 time grammy award winning singer who had her biggest solo hits
with such songs as Different Drum, Long Long Time, You´re No Good, When Will I Be Loved, Blue Bayou, It ´s So Easy & Hurt So Bad.
Linda´s duets with soul singers James Ingram and Aaron Neville achieved phenomenal global success, somewhere out there with
James Ingram and Don´t Know Much as well as All my life with Aaron Neville belonged to the years world's best-selling single releases.
